Wicked Romances Blog Hop (October 20-27, 2012)

Welcome to the Wicked Romances Blog Hop

Wicked romances whether they’re historical fiction, contemporary, fantasy, paranormal,or westerns, they have a common denominator. The stories are going to excite readers, incite audiences to think outside of the perimeter of conventional life.

This is why women like to read romance books before they go to bed. Men like to read their incendiary novels ontheir downtime while eating at the neighborhood Starbucks or sitting in a doctor’swaiting room. Wicked romances play arole at that moment of alone time when people seek stimulation to get them through the day or night as the case may be.

Each individual has a different idea about what makes a romance wicked. A knight saving a damsel in distress, a pirate stealing a maiden from her overbearing father and/or mother, a Viking warrior out to conquer a gentle lass, an investigator who protects an innocent from being violated, or a billionaire playboy who is transformed into a devoted husband when kissed by a virtuous lady are a few themes that stoke wicked romances.

The characters are described as playful, mischievous, devilish, and likely possessa virile libido. They are who we want to be or want in our mate. Sometimes, they depict our alter-ego, the person who is least like us but we’d sure have fun being, if given the chance.

Wicked romances kindle our imagination, stimulate heady sensations that jolt us out of our conventional lives. They are stories that affect us so strongly, we can’t live without them and don’t want to imagine a world without them.

Who are some authors of wicked romances that you enjoy? What are some themes you look for in a wicked romance? Post your comment and include your email spelling out [at] and [dot] in the address to enter the Wicked Romances contest sponsored by http://www.inlinkz.com/wpview.php?id=195074

I am still unable to think of a wicked book though I think Eve Langlais "Lucifer's Daughter" is humorously wicked.

I am sorry to say I do not yet have a favorite author of the Wicked Romances. I am new to this genre and have added some books on my Wish List and hope to read some soon. I find the paranormal ones (Vampires mostly) seem to interest me and if there are 2 on 1, they interest me even more. :) Thanks so much for being a part of the blog hop and for your giveaway.
Best Wishes,
Marlena
